Rooted in Our Land. Guided by Our Ancestors. Thriving as a Nation.
Welcome to the official website of the Chiniki First Nation, a proud member of the Stoney Nakoda Nations. Our people have lived, gathered, and thrived in the lands of the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains since time immemorial. This site is a home for our stories, leadership, programs, and opportunities as we continue to walk forward with strength, unity, and vision.
Our History
Our Story is Written in the Land.
Chiniki First Nation is one of the three Nations that form the Stoney Nakoda, descendants of the Îyârhe Nakoda (Rocky Mountain Nakoda). Our ancestors' connection to this territory is deep — rooted in stewardship, ceremony, and community. Today, we continue to uphold those teachings while growing a strong and self-determined future for our people.
